The Church School program is taking a break for the summer.  A full schedule of Sunday School classes will resume on Sunday, Sept. 9.  There is a Monday evening 7 pm book study/discussion during the summer with church folk joining the UKirk campus ministry in reading Rachel Held Evans' "Searching for Sunday."

Multi-Age Class (ages 5-10)
The class uses the "Holy Moly" curriculum. Children will learn stories of the Bible using video and crafts directed by the curriculum.
Nursery/Preschool Class
The children in the nursery preschool class will hear each week the same Bible story the older children will be studying in the elementary class.
Youth Class (grades 6-12)
The youth class will offer a variety of approaches for faith exploration and spiritual development via art, music, literature, cooking, and the "reForm:Ancestry" curriculum for the New Testament.
Adult Classes —
The Present Word — Bible study using PC(USA) curriculum materials to explore how the scriptures relate to everyday life.  Meets in Pastors Room off Fellowship Hall. Contact Dorothy Kyle to get a student book.
All You Need Is Love:  The Letter of 1 John — Thompson Lounge
For the rest of the program year (4/29 - 5/20) we will be reading and studying 1 John, the first of the Johannine letters in the New Testament.  It was written to counter the rise of docetism in the community, which is the belief that Jesus did not come "in the flesh", but only as a spirit.  Five times in this short letter the author admonishes his readers to "Love One Another."
